The engine of the TR6 is six cylinder engines which were carbureted. It was like TR250 model’s engine. For the model the Lucas injection system introduces TR6 with 150bhp. But in later it was reduced to 125bhp in order for easier drive. The transmission of TR6 is of four speeds. For the drivers the optional equipment overdrive unit was a desirable future which gives close-gearing for aggressive driving.

Chromed cover has been replaced and painted valve introduced. The lock for the steering has been introduced for the export cars. Seven blade fans replaced and 8 blades at CP52420 have been introduced in 1971. The stag type of gearbox parts is used in the car. New exhaust system was introduced in the 1972. Also gas tank capacity has been reduced to 10.25 gallons. Main thing is the brake caliper has been changed and incorporate threads were inserted. In 1979 until the end of production the Triumph styled hardtop continues. The last TR6 built on 07/15/76.
