In 1909 the Suzuki Loom Works was started and the company was known as same. The power free motorized bicycle which featured a 2x36cc engine was developed in 1952. In 1954 the company name was changed as Suzuki Motor Corporation. Suzuki produced its first light weight car named “Suzulight”. General Motors is purchasing shares of the Suzuki Company.
In 1999 Suzuki introduced the SV650. The bikes provide easily manageable ride worth MSRP of $5999 in US. It is rigid chassis and the V-twin’s strong mid-range torque appeals to beginner and experienced riders. The SV1000 is the bigger to the SV650 for which the Suzuki markets says the brother of SV650. The Suzuki used a new 40 mm lower sub frame with a narrow designed seat in the front of the motorcycle. The tail lights provide more protection against flying debris. The Silver frame was changed from silver to matte black finish in the year 2005. The twin spark plugs for reduced emissions with available ABS will arrive for the both models of SV650 and SV650S in 2007. The Suzuki SV650 offers its own unique styling and performance. SV650 is named as Cycle World magazine’s best Motorcycle. Also in the Best Bang of the Buck magazine it has been named as best Motorcyclist. When it is compared with SV650S, it has tubular handlebars, featuring a single round headlight and an upright riding position. The SV650 is the light weight handling and good engine performance.
